In a landmark move, Ukraine and the United Kingdom have agreed to co-manufacture thousands of Octopus-100 interceptor drones. The deal, finalized in London as part of the “Build with Ukraine” program, elevates bilateral defense ties to full-scale industrial collaboration. Production will take place in the UK, marking the first serial manufacture of a Ukrainian combat drone within a NATO country.
This partnership ensures Ukraine gains faster access to critical drone systems while the UK strengthens its defense industrial base. Both governments described the accord as a turning point from procurement-based cooperation to sustained joint production. The development follows President Zelensky’s recent presentation of the Octopus drone to the British Prime Minister, highlighting its strategic relevance.
Designed for counter-drone and aerial defense roles, the Octopus-100 is positioned as an agile, interceptor-class system. Although specifications remain classified, the project aims for large-scale, efficient production built on standardized NATO practices and quality assurance processes.
