Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, has been awarded a contract by Dynetics, a Leidos company, to supply TJ150 turbojet engines for integration with their Small Cruise Missile, known as Black Arrow.

The TJ150 is a compact, high-performance turbojet engine known for its fast production, scalability, and proven reliability. Delivering 150 pounds of thrust, it is capable of igniting and performing efficiently at high altitudes and is adaptable for a wide range of autonomous systems and weapon platforms for both U.S. and international markets.

Preliminary integration work between Pratt & Whitney and Dynetics began in 2023. Under this new contract, work started in April 2025 and will continue through the first quarter of 2026, with options for additional engine deliveries. The TJ150 is currently in production, and Pratt & Whitney continues to enhance the engine’s affordability and manufacturing efficiency.

To date, over 2,700 TJ150 engines have been delivered for various missile applications worldwide. Pratt & Whitney is also leveraging additive manufacturing technologies to ensure the engine remains a cost-effective, reliable solution while enhancing production flexibility and expanding its supplier network.
