The United States has awarded Raytheon a contract valued at $183.7 million to supply hardware and support services for Patriot air defense systems under a foreign military sales agreement with the United Arab Emirates. The contract is structured as a firm-fixed-price arrangement and covers the delivery of Patriot system components along with installation, inspection, logistics support, and program management services. Work on the project will primarily take place in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, with completion scheduled for March 2031. Funding for the contract is provided through fiscal 2026 foreign military sales resources. The Patriot system is one of the world’s most widely deployed air and missile defense platforms and is capable of detecting and intercepting aircraft, cruise missiles, and tactical ballistic missiles. Over the past year, the United States has approved several additional Patriot-related foreign military sales to strengthen allied defense capabilities. These include potential system and sustainment packages for countries such as Romania, Ukraine, and Kuwait.
