Israeli firm Smartshooter has advanced its SMASH fire control system beyond rifles, integrating it with heavy machine guns, vehicles, and remote platforms for the first time. At Project VANAHEIM, the SMASH 3000 was mounted on a heavy machine gun while the SMASH HOPPER remote weapon station was fitted to a reconnaissance vehicle, enabling engagements against drones at ranges up to 400 meters. Connected to the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK), the system allowed direct data sharing with shooters for better coordination. CEO Michal Mor highlighted the system’s adaptability to modern battlefield needs. These new vehicle-mounted and HMG variants debuted at the 2025 DSEI expo in London.
