Textron Systems’ RIPSAW M3 robotic ground vehicle has secured its first European customer, with Sweden acquiring the platform to strengthen its unmanned ground capabilities. Part of the RIPSAW family, the M3 is built around a rugged, modular architecture that supports interchangeable payloads and advanced autonomy packages. The hybrid-electric vehicle weighs 14,800 pounds and accommodates 5,000 pounds of payload while providing 10 kilowatts of power to external systems. Its 63-square-foot deck offers flexible mounting space for mission equipment. Engineered for reconnaissance, surveillance, and light combat tasks, the platform spans 206×80 inches and reaches speeds above 30 miles per hour. The M3’s selection for the US Army’s RCV program in March further underscores its suitability for future unmanned combat roles.
