Taiwan has expanded its Patriot missile arsenal by procuring 102 PAC-3 MSE interceptors using surplus procurement funds valued at roughly NT$20 billion. Additional acquisitions may be financed through a proposed NT$1.25 trillion special defense budget. The first batch reportedly arrived in January. The PAC-3 MSE systems will integrate into Taiwan’s layered “T-Dome” air defense network alongside domestically produced Sky Bow III and Strong Bow missiles, strengthening deterrence amid regional tensions.
