The Israeli Army has unveiled a new remotely controlled engineering vehicle said to alter the ‘paradigm of war’ in Gaza.
The “Robdozer,” a robotic iteration of the D9 bulldozer, is intended to perform front-line duties such clearing roads, removing debris, and leveling terrain, all while keeping operators out of harm’s way.
Additionally, it allows soldiers to do other crucial engineering tasks without actually setting foot in enemy territory. The Robdozer has been used sparingly in operations against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
A military official in Israel observed that although robotic vehicles have been employed in battle previously, this is the first time they have been recorded in large-scale combat.
