A full autonomous launch and recovery system (ALARS) for unmanned surface vessels (USV) has been unveiled by Maritime Tactical Systems (MARTAC) in partnership with Sealartec. The Devil Ray T38 USV from MARTAC can autonomously launch and retrieve MARTAC’s MANTAS T8 and T12 USVs. The T8 and T12 are 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) and 3.6 meters (11.8 feet) long, respectively, whereas the Devil Ray T38 is 11 meters (36 feet) in length.
