Denmark has officially signed an agreement to acquire four MQ-9B SkyGuardian drones, aiming to bolster its surveillance capabilities across critical regions such as the Baltic Sea, Arctic, and North Atlantic. The delivery of the unmanned aerial systems is scheduled between 2028 and 2029. In addition to the drones, the deal includes three ground control stations, associated equipment, and training for Danish personnel in the United States. While the exact contract value has not been revealed, prior budget allocations indicated an estimated expenditure of €370 million (approximately $434 million). The MQ-9B acquisition is part of Denmark’s strategic effort to enhance its intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) infrastructure in high-priority areas.
