The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a £118 million ($160 million) contract with MBDA to procure six Land Ceptor air defense missile launchers. This three-year agreement includes a wide range of support assets: 12 fire unit support vehicles, eight baggage vehicles, and eight threat evaluation and weapon assignment systems. A critical element of the Sky Sabre defense architecture, the Land Ceptor can operate either independently or as part of an integrated battlespace system. Using MBDA’s Common Anti-Air Modular Missile (CAMM), the system provides highly mobile, rapid-response protection against air threats. By enhancing both point and area defense, the contract ensures the UK strengthens defenses for key strategic sites and high-value military assets.
