The United Kingdom is advancing its approach to countering modern aerial threats with the unveiling of Baby Raptor and Raptor XL, two high-speed interceptor concepts developed by London Defence R&D. Designed for rapid, autonomous engagements, the systems use artificial intelligence to track and engage targets within extremely short reaction windows. Equipped with the company’s Raptor Pilot AI Pro autopilot, the interceptors can stabilize flight, process sensor data, and execute engagements without human input. The project reflects a growing emphasis on speed and autonomy in air defense, though production timelines remain undisclosed.
