The US has approved the transfer of 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) guided missiles to Ukraine, a deal worth $850 million funded mainly by European allies. Deliveries will begin within six weeks. ERAM offers strike ranges of 240–450 km depending on launch conditions, enabling Ukrainian aircraft to hit targets without entering heavily defended airspace. The precision-guided missile, designed to resist electronic warfare, enhances Ukraine’s ability to strike deep into Russian positions. The approval followed high-level meetings between US, Russian, and Ukrainian leaders, underscoring the political weight of this transfer.
