The United States has approved an $825 million sale of 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) air-launched missiles to Ukraine, with financial backing from Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, and a U.S. loan guarantee. This move is expected to significantly strengthen Kyiv’s self-defense capabilities against ongoing threats while bolstering regional security. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) emphasized that the sale aligns with U.S. foreign policy goals by reinforcing Ukraine’s role as a stabilizing force in Europe. Congress must still review and finalize the transaction.
