The US is considering deploying NMESIS mobile anti-ship missiles in the Resolute Dragon 2025 exercise with Japan from September 11–25. The drills span Hokkaido, Okinawa, Kyushu, and Iwo Jima, involving 12,000 Japanese and 1,900 US troops. NMESIS, fielded in 2023, mounts Naval Strike Missiles on unmanned vehicles and can hit targets at 185 km. It supports US distributed maritime operations to counter China.
