The US Marine Corps has received an MQ-9A Reaper Block 5 extended range (ER) unmanned aircraft system from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. The delivery will improve the operational capacity of the US Marine Corps in terms of range and endurance. It may be field-retrofitted with features like reinforced landing gear and wing-borne fuel pods, which extend its endurance to more than 30 hours as opposed to the previous 27 hours.
