Skydio has secured two initial contracts from the US Air Force to boost the rollout of small drones across Tactical Air Control Party and Explosive Ordnance Disposal units. The X10D systems will enhance situational awareness, target identification, and air-ground coordination. EOD units will employ them for daily operations and field missions. More deliveries will follow within 18 months. The Air Force is increasingly adopting drones for base security, aircraft checks, and faster maintenance workflows.
