NATO has signed an $18-million, three-year deal with Pratt & Whitney to maintain TF33 engines powering its E-3 Sentry AWACS fleet. The contract includes forecasting, procurement, and support, with work spread across Germany, Turkey, Greece, and the US. The E-3A, based on the Boeing 707, has served since the 1980s and will remain in use until at least 2035 before replacement by systems like the E-7 Wedgetail.
