“A $580 million agreement has been reached by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) to support the security and preparedness of American Army facilities.
This task order covers the Integrated Base Defense Sustainment Support duties necessary to maintain the operational readiness of the radars, sensors, and cameras that protect facilities, people, and infrastructure.
These perception systems are essential for preventing or combating illegal surveillance and access, harmful unmanned aerial system operations, and cyberattacks. The corporation will use its patented Cove AI Ops digital accelerator technology throughout the course of this initiative, which uses machine learning and sophisticated analytics to analyze huge datasets, spot patterns, and guide well-informed decision-making processes.
The contract will be worked on for a year, with the possibility of it being extended for another four.
“The Army depends on robust, ever-ready defense systems to safeguard its soldiers and operations around the globe,” GDIT Defense SVP Brian Sheridan said.
“We are strongly committed to this mission, and we look forward to providing creative technology solutions that guarantee these essential systems function at their best at all times.”
