Australia-based DroneShield has secured a $6.2 million military contract to supply integrated counter-unmanned aircraft system capabilities to a defense force in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighting the accelerating urgency among regional militaries to counter rapidly evolving drone threats. Disclosed to the Australian Securities Exchange in late December 2025, the agreement covers the delivery of both hardware and DroneShield’s proprietary DroneSentry-C2 command-and-control software, with full execution and payment scheduled for completion in 2026. The contract is being executed through an in-country reseller owned by a major global defense prime, ensuring streamlined integration into existing military procurement and air defense frameworks. DroneSentry-C2 enables real-time detection, tracking, identification, and defeat of hostile unmanned systems, while allowing seamless interoperability with legacy sensors and air defense assets. Since early 2023, DroneShield has secured 14 orders worth more than $48 million through the same reseller, underscoring a sustained operational relationship rather than a one-off acquisition. The deal reflects a broader regional shift toward layered, software-driven airspace security architectures capable of addressing both military-grade UAVs and commercially derived threats.
