US sensor firm Aeva has unveiled Omni, a compact short-range 4D LiDAR system designed to enhance situational awareness for physical AI platforms. Omni is intended for integration across autonomous vehicles, drones, robotics, warehouse automation, and defense applications. By delivering high-resolution depth and velocity data, the system improves object detection in complex environments. South Korea’s LG Innotek is supporting the program through hardware integration, manufacturing, and quality assurance, helping Aeva scale production and accelerate commercialization.
