The Israel Defense Forces have awarded contracts totaling $100 million to Elbit Systems to strengthen digital battlefield integration as part of a new cyber-network structure. The modernization effort will consolidate C4ISR capabilities, digital fire systems, and border security technologies into a unified operational network. Central to the initiative is the Tzayad digital ground framework, which will link headquarters and frontline units while enabling faster operational responses through AI-supported analytics. The open-architecture system is designed to accommodate future sensor and platform integration. Additionally, the MARS border defense system will deploy artificial intelligence to manage surveillance arrays, improve target identification, and enhance cross-domain operational coordination.
