The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has deployed 20 newly trained artificial intelligence researchers across operational units as part of an effort to strengthen data-driven battlefield decision-making. The specialists completed a six-week training program at the School for Computer Professions, Basmach, under the C4I and Cyber Defense Directorate’s dedicated AI branch known as “Bina.” The initiative aims to convert large volumes of operational data into actionable intelligence. The researchers will develop tools capable of processing text, audio, and visual information in real time, enhancing situational awareness and accelerating intelligence analysis. Israeli officials highlighted that integrating AI expertise directly into combat and intelligence formations will improve operational effectiveness, enabling faster responses to evolving threats while supporting modern network-centric warfare concepts.
