Kuwait has inaugurated the Nayef Light Ammunition Factory, marking the country’s first domestic ammunition production facility. The launch ceremony was led by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with senior defense officials in attendance. The plant meets NATO manufacturing standards and is expected to strengthen Kuwait’s defense self-sufficiency. China’s NORINCO will cooperate in technical expertise transfer and training. Officials described the facility as a strategic step toward bolstering national security capabilities.
