The “Sea Dart,” a very reconfigurable uncrewed underwater vehicle (UUV), has been introduced by the American defense company Leidos at a fraction of the cost of similar platforms. With each unit beginning at around $150,000, the firm asserts that the adaptable boat costs “up to 80 to 90 percent less” than other small UUVs.
