
“M-tron Industries has been awarded a $5.5 million manufacturing contract to supply high-performance radio frequency (RF) components for a key US naval weapon system.
The prize comes with sturdy crystal and “lumped element” filters, both of which are designed for harsh operating environments. The parts are included in the software that M-tron has supported for around a decade.
With manufacturing anticipated to continue through 2026, M-factory tron’s in Orlando, Florida, will be in charge of production. It is expected that the larger plan will remain in place until at least 2035.
While the specific maritime platform was not disclosed, similar RF technologies are frequently used in radar, electronic warfare, and secure communication systems.
