Work is underway to fast-track next-generation interceptors aimed at neutralizing larger military drones that pose growing risks to forces and infrastructure. Two technology firms were selected through a competitive innovation program to refine their prototypes after completing early tests in record time. Funding will support integration with existing systems and preparations for future trials. The effort focuses on affordability and adaptability by using modular designs and commercial components, ensuring quicker deployment and easier scaling.
