Thales has secured a contract to supply advanced Ground Master GM200 MM/A and GM400α air defense radars to the Qatar Emiri Air Force, reinforcing the country’s multi-layered air surveillance and defense posture. The systems will provide long-range detection of diverse aerial threats, from small targets to highly maneuverable aircraft, while supporting rapid deployment and high mobility. The agreement also includes training, sustainment, and national-level support extending through 2036, reflecting Qatar’s long-term investment in integrated air defense capabilities.
