The Israeli defense firm Rafael has revealed the Iron Beam 450 — an advanced iteration of its laser weapon platform, outfitted with a wider 450mm beam director.
The new aperture marks a dramatic upgrade from the prior 250mm model, enhancing its reach and precision in intercepting fast-moving aerial threats such as rockets or drones.
In addition to increased range, the larger beam allows the laser to maintain intensity and focus even when operating under atmospheric turbulence or particulate-heavy environments.
