The Coyote counter-drone system will be manufactured locally in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of a strategic partnership agreement between the American business Raytheon and the UAE’s Tawazun Council, its defense and security acquisitions agency.
The historic agreement entails Raytheon Emirates’ technology transfer and collaboration with Emirati defense firms in order to produce the counter-drone system’s components in the assembly and testing facility at Tawazun Industrial Park.
This will enable the Gulf nation to expedite the delivery of the weapons while simultaneously boosting its local defense sector, defense capabilities, and alliance with the United States as a key defense partner in the Middle East.
