In an effort to improve the ground target capabilities of the Swedish Air Force, Sweden has signed a contract with Rheinmetall to purchase Mk82 bombs for its Gripen aircraft. The order, which is worth over SEK 100 million (USD 9 million), is expected to arrive in the second quarter of this year. The Jas 39 Gripen C/D and E aircraft are compatible with the Mk82.
