SMARTSHOOTER will supply its SMASH 2000L systems to the US Army under a newly signed $13 million contract. These advanced fire control units—alternatively called SMASH 3000s—assist rifle operators with AI-based targeting support and object recognition. Lightweight and portable, the units feature long battery life and are tailored for quick deployment in combat zones. The deal supports the US Army’s “Transformation In Contact” strategy, which focuses on rapid adoption of game-changing technologies. Production and delivery will be managed through the company’s US operations in Virginia.
