Saab has secured a €130-million contract from an undisclosed European NATO member for its Sirius passive sensor system, strengthening allied intelligence and surveillance capabilities. Deliveries will continue through 2030 and include associated services. Sirius combines communications and electronic intelligence sensors to deliver both tactical awareness and strategic SIGINT across air, land, and maritime domains. The system’s passive nature allows it to detect and analyze radar and communications signals without revealing its own position, even in dense electromagnetic environments. Saab is expanding production capacity through a new facility in Finland, reflecting rising demand for advanced electronic warfare and surveillance technologies amid growing regional security concerns.
