Sweden is set to acquire 20 M142 HIMARS launchers under a $930-million foreign military sales agreement approved by the United States. The deal includes multiple types of guided rocket munitions, extended-range artillery rockets, communication systems, and support equipment. Developed by Lockheed Martin, HIMARS can be transported by aircraft such as the C‑130 Hercules and quickly deployed to operational areas. The system’s precision strike capability and mobility have contributed to growing international demand.
