Cubic Defence UK has signed a two-year contract with the UK Ministry of Defence to deliver the new Instrumented Live Training Area Weapons Effects System (ILT-A). This system will offer advanced, data-driven combat training environments using integrated laser and area-effect simulations, enhancing troop readiness. It replaces the previous Area Weapons Effects Simulation program and includes compatibility with Cubic’s SCOPIC2, which supports realistic team-level exercises. The move aligns with broader UK defense modernization initiatives including infrastructure upgrades and proposals to increase defense spending.
