“The US State Department has approved the possible $180 million sale of precision-guided bombs to Poland.
Warsaw sought 1,400 GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs (SDB-I) and four GBU-39 (T-1)/B inert training bombs with fuzes, as well as tactical training rounds, components, and other associated logistical and support items.
The enhanced Polish F-16V and F-35A fighter planes, which are made by Boeing, are anticipated to be equipped with the bombs, increasing their air-to-ground attack capabilities and strengthening NATO’s eastern front.
