Project Mercury represents the UK military’s next step in digitizing frontline healthcare, following a £2.5-million contract awarded to Avenue3. The secure electronic health record system enables clinicians to operate effectively in remote locations by allowing offline access and data exchange through NFC technology. Developed in collaboration with UK and NATO clinicians, the platform will enter live service in 2026. It complements earlier efforts to consolidate health records and introduce digital monitoring tools, reinforcing the UK’s long-term strategy to modernize military medical support across all operational contexts.
