Israel Weapon Industries, part of SK Group, has delivered thousands of X95 Micro-TAVOR rifles to the Israel Defense Forces, reinforcing infantry capabilities across multiple combat roles. The X95, already in service since 2006, is a compact bullpup rifle designed for modern warfare environments, including urban combat, subterranean operations, and close-quarters engagements. Chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO, the weapon integrates a long barrel into a compact frame, ensuring both accuracy and maneuverability. Its modular design allows for easy customization and adaptability, enabling troops to configure the weapon for different mission requirements. Features such as ambidextrous controls, interchangeable components, and a 360-degree Picatinny rail enhance usability and operational flexibility. The rifle’s closed-bolt gas piston system ensures reliability in harsh conditions, while its lightweight polymer construction improves handling during extended operations. With an effective range of approximately 500 meters and a high rate of fire, the X95 provides a balance of precision and firepower. Its design also reduces recoil, allowing for better control during sustained firing. The continued supply of these rifles highlights Israel’s emphasis on equipping its forces with versatile, combat-proven small arms capable of operating in complex and high-intensity environments.
