Elbit Systems has secured a major US Army contract valued at $212 million for the continued production of Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binocular systems, supporting modernization efforts for frontline soldier equipment. The ENVG-B system combines thermal sensing, image intensification, and augmented reality technologies to provide soldiers with improved situational awareness and enhanced target visibility in low-light or no-light combat conditions. The wearable device also supports passive targeting and digital battlefield integration, allowing troops to maintain operational effectiveness across challenging terrain and weather environments. The latest contract extends production through 2028 and highlights Elbit’s growing role in advanced soldier systems for the US military. The award comes amid a broader Pentagon push to integrate augmented reality, sensor fusion, and advanced optics into next-generation combat equipment for dismounted infantry forces.
