The US Army has reorganized its force structure by establishing the 7th Infantry Division Multi-Domain Command-Pacific, a new formation designed to strengthen operational capabilities in the Indo-Pacific theater. By merging the 7th Infantry Division with the 1st Multi-Domain Task Force, the command integrates traditional ground forces with advanced cyber, intelligence, space, electronic warfare, and autonomous systems. The transition was officially marked during a ceremony at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. With approximately 12,000 soldiers, the newly created unit will support regional missions and participate in future allied and multinational exercises aimed at enhancing security and interoperability across the Pacific region.
