
MSA Safety has been awarded a $33-million contract to provide new respiratory protective solutions to the US Coast Guard. Under this agreement, the Pennsylvania-based company will supply its proprietary G1 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment to the Coast Guard’s operational surface fleet and support facilities. An initial order totaling $22 million for the manufacturing of these systems was already placed in the third quarter of this year, according to the company.
