Ahead of its first order, Rheinmetall has given the Italian Army a KF41 Lynx infantry combat vehicle for testing. The initiative is part of Rome’s preparations to embrace new tracked systems, which were unveiled earlier this year with a potential investment of 5.2 billion euros ($5.3 billion). According to a Defense News story, the lent testbed car was delivered to the army’s Montelibretti center, where it will be subject to similar evaluations from the military and Italy’s local program partner Leonardo.
