The first two Airbus-manufactured H145M multipurpose helicopters have arrived in Cyprus as part of a contract agreement. The Cypriot National Guard, the nation’s military force, will receive six five-bladed platforms as part of the rotary-wing aircraft modernization program. The remaining airframes will be delivered in accordance with the agreement later this year. All of the H145M hulls for the Mediterranean state will come with Airbus’ patented HForce weapon system, which allows the helicopter to be used in light attack operations.
