European operators are expanding aircraft survivability with Elbit Systems’ J-MUSIC DIRCM, following new contracts valued at around $150 million. The system will be installed on transport aircraft and other high-value platforms to counter infrared-seeking missile threats. Building on earlier A400M integration for Germany, J-MUSIC provides modular, scalable protection using laser-based countermeasures and advanced sensors. Its open architecture allows compatibility with various missile warning systems, enabling flexible deployment across civil and military fleets while enhancing safety during strategic airlift and special-mission operations.
