Anduril Industries has secured a $200-million contract to enhance the US Marine Corps’ Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) with its Anvil counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) solution. The company states that the Anvil will equip the MADIS with an autonomous, low-collateral kinetic intercept capability, enabling effective neutralization of small hostile drones. It achieves this by utilizing advanced onboard computing components and sensors to maintain target lock and deliver precise terminal guidance, ensuring a high probability of success even in challenging environments.
