Austria has sealed a €1.5-billion contract for 12 M-346FA jets, to be delivered from 2028. The aircraft will support operational missions and serve as an in-country training platform, enabling Vienna to fully implement its dual-fleet approach alongside Eurofighters. The package includes armaments, simulators, technical training, and sustainment. Austria highlights an estimated €400-million industrial offset in cooperation with Italy. The M-346FA features upgraded avionics, multi-role combat capability, twin turbofans, and compatibility with cannons, bombs, and precision-guided missiles for diverse mission sets.
