A collaboration between Germany-based Helsing and HENSOLDT is transforming Europe’s next uncrewed combat aircraft into a highly autonomous intelligence and multi-domain operations platform. The CA-1 Europa drone, developed by Helsing in Munich, will integrate HENSOLDT’s advanced radar, optronic sensors, electronic warfare suites, and self-protection systems. At the core of the aircraft’s architecture is HENSOLDT’s Multi-Domain Operations Core (MDOcore) software, which enables real-time data fusion, system networking, and coordinated operational effects across air, land, sea, cyber, and space domains. The integration expands the drone’s mission profile beyond strike operations to include intelligence gathering and cross-domain battlespace management.
