The US Department of Defense has granted Northrop Grumman a $140.8 million contract to produce five E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft for Japan under a 2024 Foreign Military Sale. The deal includes engineering support and will be coordinated with the US Naval Air Systems Command. The E-2D package, valued at $1.38 billion, includes avionics, GPS, radar, and electronic warfare systems. Deliveries are set for completion by March 2029.
