Croatia has signed a multinational framework contract with Czech manufacturer Tatra to procure up to 420 T-815 military trucks, strengthening regional defense cooperation and modernizing its land mobility capabilities. The agreement enables Zagreb to place orders for 6×6 and 8×8 variants, building on a broader alliance-based effort that also includes Slovakia. Valued at up to €1.03 billion excluding VAT, the framework allows participating nations to acquire vehicles tailored to operational requirements over time, improving procurement efficiency and cost control. The T-815, also known as Tatra Force, is a proven tactical truck platform supporting a wide range of military roles, from logistics and transport to armored vehicles and artillery systems. Featuring a robust air-cooled V8 engine, high mobility, and modular design, the platform is well suited for demanding operational environments. Tatra stated the agreement reflects growing NATO interest in standardized, combat-proven vehicle technologies while supporting long-term export growth for the Czech defense industry. For Croatia, the deal enhances fleet interoperability, sustainment planning, and future force flexibility.
