The Danish military has taken a major step toward advancing pilot readiness by acquiring threat emitter simulators for F-35A training. These high-fidelity devices mimic radar emissions from enemy systems, which appear on the F-35’s sensor suite during exercises. Danish defense authorities recommended the purchase to ensure future pilots can effectively respond to radar-based threats. This upgrade coincides with the delivery of four new F-35s in May from Lockheed Martin, expanding the nation’s total to 15 aircraft. Denmark expects its F-35 fleet to grow to 21 by the end of 2026.
