“For the first time, the Maldives has introduced its new Ajban 4×4 light armored vehicles to the public.
Ajban systems in their 442A model, which are made for observation, command, and communication duties, were utilized during the military’s 133rd anniversary parade in Malé.
The Maldives’ unannounced purchase of the platforms was verified by Abu Dhabi’s government-owned EDGE Group as part of the UAE’s collaboration with the South Asian administration.
The manufacturing and delivery of the Ajban technology is handled by NIMR Automotive, a division of the EDGE Group.
“We have provided high-mobility AJBAN 442A vehicles to the [Maldives National Defence Force] as a strategic defense partner to the Maldives, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to providing mission-ready solutions to support our partners throughout the area,” the EDGE Group said.
